Ingredients:
- 1lt Koukakis Farm full-fat milk
- 200g of filo dough
- 250g sugar
- 175g fine semolina
- 300g Koukakis Farm butter
- 4 eggs
- ¼ tsp. vanilla
- Cinnamon
For the syrup
- 1.5lt water
- 1.5kg sugar
- 500g glucose
Implementation:
- Beat the eggs in a bowl
- Add sugar, milk, and vanilla in a pot
- Mix over medium fire and add the eggs
- Remove from the heat once it starts boiling, and add the semolina
- Add 100g butter and mix until thoroughly combined
- Fold a filo dough and cut it into 3 pieces
- On the edge of each piece add a line of the mixture and then fold in rolls
- Place the rolls in a pyrex
- Melt 200g of butter in a pan and afterwards butter the rolls
- Bake at 160 degrees for 40-50 minutes
- For the syrup: Add all the ingredients together in a pot, mix and boil for 10 minutes
- Syrup the galaktoboureko rolls while they are still hot
Serving:
- On a plate serve the galaktoboureko rolls and garnish with cinnamon
